13 Posts. #54 · Mar 13, 2020. remove the rear seat. remove the plate providing access to the pop off valve on the gas tank. wack the valve with wrench. fixed. the ball or "flap" gets stuck. It worked perfectly for me. Now I don't "overfill" the gas tank - when it shuts off from filling gas - im done - no more problem.

My OH has just informed me that 3 times in the past fortnight she has been driving, her 1.2 Pop Dualogic, and for no reason the engine just cuts out, car defaults to neutral, all bells and whistles bleeping and transmission not available message appears. The only way to overcome this is to take key out of ignition and restart.
At this point, the power steering fails and the fuel cut off light (no.4) will stay on. What I did so far: - changed the battery, brand new one - cleaned the earth leads ( from ( - ) to chassis and on gearbox - new earth lead from ECU to battery. Now the car does the same but not so often. I really don't know what to do anymore.
